We have had a great school year so far here at WACSS. Our programs have been very popular and registrations are at an all time high. We have received lots of great comments about our programs and our instructors. Thank-You!
This year we are increasing the time you have to register. Our Winter brochure is ready, have a look at it here! Students in the WACSS schools will be receiving hard copies of these in 2 weeks, but if you’re ready to register now, we are open for registrations! You can register by coming to our office, phoning us, or by visiting www.simpleprogramguide.com and registering online.
Dear Parent/Guardian and Child (grade 5 – 12),
*Notice to all West Abbotsford Community School Society members of our Annual General Meeting (AGM). We also have a call for nominations to the Board of Directors for the West Abbotsford Community School Society (WACSS) for the 2013/14 fiscal-year. (WACSS) must have its members attend our AGM on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at John Maclure Community School from 6:00 – 7:00pm. All those that registered for programs in the past year (10+ years and their parents) are automatic WACSS members.
2990 Oriole Crescent, Abbotsford, V2T 4E1 in our multi-purpose room.
Why Come to the AGM?
Our Gaming and other grant providers need to see the membership numbers at our AGM in order to continue funding our much-needed programs and services. Therefore your attendance is very important.
Best of all WACSS will be having door prizes: There will be several “Abbotsford Heat hockey tickets”, there will be “after school WACSS program vouchers for up to $80.00”, there will be “Canadian Tire $10 coupons” and there will be Peninsula Runners $25 gift Certificates”. A FREE pizza dinner, compliments of WACSS, will be waiting for you and your family at the meeting.
Thank you for your continued interest and support.
We have some good news and some bad news.
Good news – Preteen Xtreme participation has reached 60+ students on Tuesday nights. That is amazing and shows the popularity of the program.
Bad news – 60+ students is unsustainable for us, so we need to downsize Preteen Xtreme.
Originally the program was created for Grades 4-7 students. We are going to move back to that, meaning the program will no longer be available to grade 8 students after Nov. 25, 2013.
We are going to have a pizza party as a farewell event for the grade 8s on November 25, 2013 at Preteen Xtreme.
For more information, you can read the following PT grade 8 letter.
