Our Kids Can Cook program is for grades 3 – 6. Students will learn easy food preparation techniques, will create great tasting food, and will learn about nutrition and active lifestyles! The program is a lot of fun and students have the chance to enjoy what they create each week. The hope is to introduce students to healthy eating habits, and demonstrate the importance and benefits of cooking your own food.
Focus on Health
Each week, students will learn some basic facts about healthy eating. The Canada Nutrition guide and many nutrition games are used together to teach the students about healthy eating.
Where does our food come from?
Each week, students will learn about where all the ingredients come from, and we’re not talking about the super store. We will explore how and where the ingredient is grown, how it turns into usable ingredients, and how it is processed.
Our program is generally $40 for 7 weeks. This includes instruction and ingredients for whatever the kids will create!
